I have to say while I don't get on board with all trends, I am really digging this pastel trend for spring. It took me a while to warm up to colorblocking and then even then, I didn't delve too deeply into it. The soft, muted feel of pastels on the other hand...that is something I can get behind. Do you like my old-new Kay Unger trench? I found it at my local buy-sell-trade for a mere $20 and when I looked up the brand at home I realized it is a brand carried in Neiman Marcus! I had no idea, but was simply attracted to have prim and polished it looked. Also, I hope you guys enjoy my silly pose in the second photo. Also (last also, promise!), I received my House of Harlow 1960 cuff. SO obsessed with it.

Last week and this week have been pretty exciting for three reasons:

1. I joined the Chictopia team! Yay! I am now the Fashion News Editor. My first piece can be seen here. It's just a side thing, but hey, it's great to write.

2. Insane-o nearly last minute decision...I'm going to Coachella! In a weird series of events I had purchased a ticket to weekend 2 without having concrete plans to go. When the initial plans to go fell through I decided to sell the ticket but held off posting it to Craig's list until last Monday. When I came to do that, I realized there were a ton of people like me and tickets are being listed and sold at face value. (if you want to go to Coachcella, seriously, you still can). I freaked at the thought I may lose all the money I paid and not-so-secretly wanted to go, so instead I convince my friend Sami to go. She agreed. We booked hotel and a ride share...so there you have it. Going to Coachella (for the second time...first in 2007). WOO!

3. Today is the one month anniversary of me and my pup! I adopted a dog exactly a month ago. She's a rescue in the truest sense of the term - my friend's boyfriend literally rescued her from an intersection. She lived with him for two years and now is mine. Not only is she really well trained, but she's adorable. I'll have to post photos soon.

*correction* My pup and I are starting our fourth week, so not quite the one month anniversary. Sorry for the confusion...it'll be a month next Tuesday
